Disability Support Workers Wanted – Join Our Growing Team

We’re looking for caring, reliable disability support workers to support participants across Lakemba, Campsie, and Greenacre.

Shifts are available during the day, anywhere between 9:00am and 5:00pm, with flexibility and the chance to pick up additional hours as they become available.

Immediate Start | Casual & Ongoing Shifts Available

MHCS is looking for compassionate Disability Support Workers to provide one-on-one support to participants living with Autism and complex mental health needs, including schizophrenia.

About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker, you will:

• Provide personal care and support with daily hygiene
• Assist with meal preparation and cooking
• Support participants with light household tasks (tidying, washing dishes, laundry)
• Transport participants to and from appointments and activities
• Encourage participation in meaningful daily activities and social engagement
• Provide reassurance, motivation, and companionship
• Follow behaviour support plans and maintain accurate records for the care team

No two days are the same, and you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of participants by helping them achieve independence, confidence, and connection to their community.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience supporting individuals with Autism and complex mental health needs
• Ability to work with participants with low and complex support needs
• Patient, empathetic, and professional approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Female applicants only (due to participant requirements)

Essential Requirements

• Certificate III (or working towards) in Individual Support, Disability, or Community Services
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Reliable motor vehicle and current driver’s licence
