Disability Support Worker

About the role

Platinum All Care is seeking a Disability Support Worker to join our team in Sunbury, VIC. This is a casual position that offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities. As a Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing compassionate and personalised care to help our clients live independently and participate actively in their communities.

What you'll be doing

• Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Support clients with household tasks, including cooking, cleaning, and shopping
• Facilitate recreational and social activities to promote client wellbeing and community engagement
• Provide transportation and accompany clients to appointments, errands, and outings
• Communicate regularly with clients, their families, and the broader care team to ensure consistent, high-quality support
• Maintain accurate records and documentation to support client care plans

What we're looking for

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a disability support or aged care role
• Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent qualification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
• A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
