Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility to promote independence and dignity
• Support clients with medication administration, ensuring proper timing and adherence to care plans
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and preferences
• Facilitate engaging activities that promote social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and emotional well-being
• Provide transportation for appointments, errands, or outings using personal or agency vehicles while adhering to safety protocols
• Manage behavioral challenges with patience and effective behavior management techniques
• Document client progress, incidents, and care activities accurately in compliance with organizational policies

Skills

• Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home care, or home care environments demonstrating patient-centered support
• Strong understanding of dementia, Alzheimer’s care, hospice care, and managing behaviors associated with cognitive impairments
• Excellent caregiving skills with a focus on compassion, patience, and active listening
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physical tasks required for mobility assistance
• Knowledge of first aid procedures and emergency response protocols
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for safe transportation duties
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, clients, and families effectively
