Disability Support Worker

The Position

We are seeking reliable and experienced Support Workers to join our team. This role is responsible for delivering participant-focused support services within home and community environments. This includes assisting participants with daily living activities, community access, and achieving individual goals in line with their NDIS plans. The position is casual with a view to permanent part-time for successful applicants.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification
• Medication Administration Competency
• First Aid
• WWVP Card (or proof of application)
• Police Check
• Australian Driver's Licence, vehicle and Comprehensive Car Insurance
• Valid authority to work in Australia
• Motivated to engage, with a social and friendly nature
• LGBTIQ + friendly
• Understanding of professional boundaries, confidentiality, and duty of care
• Flexibility to work over a 24-hour roster 7 days per week

Desirable Experience

• Hoist/transfer
• Personal care
• Experience supporting participants within home and community environments
• Demonstrated ability to build positive and respectful relationships with participants and families

Availability and recruitment process

Applicants must be available to work at least 20 hours per week, with availability that aligns with the shifts we have available.

Suitable applicants will be sent a short pre-interview questionnaire to complete, outlining their available days and times, preferred weekly hours and any availability restrictions. This helps us confirm we have suitable shifts to match your availability before arranging an interview, making sure the role is a good fit for both you and our participants.

Please note that this is a minimum availability requirement, not a guarantee of weekly hours, although we have 30+ hours per week available for suitable applicants.
