Support Worker – Children’s Residential Care

Location: Birmingham, UKJob Type: permanent - Full-time - Part time Experience: Experience preferred, but not essential

We are looking for caring and reliable Support Workers to join a residential team supporting children with learning disabilities.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll support children with their daily routines, activities, education and appointments, while helping them build confidence and independence.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe and consistent day-to-day support
• Build positive and appropriate relationships with children
• Support daily routines, activities, education and appointments
• Encourage independence and new skills
• Adapt your approach to each child’s individual needs
• Keep accurate records and contribute to handovers
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety procedures
• Work closely with the residential team

What We’re Looking For

• Caring, patient and reliable
• Comfortable working with children with learning disabilities
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Dependable and willing to learn
• Looking for a stable, long-term position
• Previous residential or learning disability experience is an advantage, but not essential
• Full UK driving licence preferred, but non-drivers may be considered
