Disability Support Worker

Community Inclusion is seeking a reliable, compassionate and experienced Support Worker to provide high-quality individualised support to a participant in the community.

The role will include community access and inclusion, assistance with daily living activities, personal care, supporting independence, attending appointments and activities, and providing respectful person-centred support.

The successful applicant must have a genuine commitment to supporting people with disability while respecting the participant's dignity, privacy, independence, choices and personal preferences.

Essential requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Disability Support Worker
• Relevant Certificate III/IV or other recognised qualification in Disability, Individual Support, Community Services or a related field
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
• Current Working With Children Check (WWCC), where required
• Valid Australian driver's licence
• Reliable personal vehicle
• Current comprehensive vehicle insurance
• Valid Australian work rights
• Ability to provide personal care
• Experience with community access and social inclusion
• Reliable, punctual and professional
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to respect participant confidentiality, boundaries and choices

Desirable: First Aid/CPR certification and previous experience providing one-on-one participant support.

We are looking for someone who is patient, respectful, trustworthy and able to build a positive professional relationship with the participant. Participant compatibility and individual support preferences will be considered as part of the recruitment process.

Pay: $26.44 – $57.32 per hour

Expected hours: 48.0 per week
