About the Role

Alina Collective is seeking a passionate and caring Disability Support Worker to join our team in Geelong. Shifts range between 6am – 9pm, Monday – Sundays.

Client Preferences

Our client has the following preferences:

· Female

· Similar in age to our participant, someone aged in 30s – 40s would be ideal

· Someone who likes animals

Key Responsibilities

· Providing support to one of our clients in their home and community, to encourage their independence and enhance their quality of life

· Tasks include (but are not limited to): personal care, domestic duties, meal preparation, medication administration, community access

· Looking after the health, safety and wellbeing of our participant

· Understanding reporting requirements and ensuring incidents are reported promptly and accurately

· Attend all mandatory training sessions, complete any required online training, and willingness to ensure any worker compliance certificates remain valid

· Complying with all internal policies and procedures as well as the NDIS Code of Conduct

About You

· Certificate III in Individual Support or currently enrolled in course

· Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)

· Current Employee Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)

· Police Check (or willingness to obtain)

· Current First Aid and CPR certificates

· Medication Assistance certificate

· Manual Handling certificate (or willingness to obtain)

· Flexible availability with short-notice to cover shifts
