Disability Support Worker Complex Supports

About the role

We're looking for experienced, compassionate Disability Support Workers to join our team supporting participants with complex support needs. You'll work closely with participants, their families and support networks to deliver safe, respectful, person-centred support that helps each person work towards their goals.

Key responsibilities

• Providing personal care with dignity and respect, including showering, toileting, dressing and continence support
• Supporting participants whose behaviours of concern are guided by a Behaviour Support Plan, using positive, proactive and least restrictive strategies
• Supporting participants to take part in community activities, appointments and daily living tasks
• Transporting participants safely to activities and appointments
• Writing clear, accurate case notes and reporting incidents in line with our procedures
• Working as part of a collaborative team with Senior Support Leads, allied health and behaviour support practitioners

About you

• Demonstrated experience supporting people with behaviours of concern, including following Behaviour Support Plans
• Experience providing personal care
• Full availability, including weekdays, evenings, weekends and public holidays
• A current, full driver's licence and a reliable, registered and comprehensively insured vehicle
• Strong communication skills and a calm, patient approach
• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability or similar (desirable)
• Current First Aid and CPR (desirable)
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (clearance)
• Working With Children Check (NSW)
• National Police Check
• Australian working rights
