The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a female Disability Support Worker, preferably early-career or younger, who can connect positively with a child.
  • Have experience supporting children with autism, ADHD and behaviours of concern.
  • Understand the importance of a calm, flexible and individualised approach, particularly when supporting a child with PDA.
  • Bring positive energy, patience, resilience and a willingness to embrace challenges.
  • Be confident providing appropriate supervision and following support plans.
  • Have strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with both the child and her family.
  • Be reliable and available every Wednesday from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

Essential requirements

  • Current Working With Children Check (WWCC).
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Police Check
  • Relevant experience supporting children with disability and behaviours of concern.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
  • Current Driver’s Licence and reliable, appropriately insured vehicle
