About the Role:

This role is perfect for someone with a person-centred approach, who has a genuine passion for improving the quality of life for those with physical or intellectual disability, who enjoys a challenge, and enjoys the rewarding feeling of making a difference in someone’s life.

We are seeking experienced Disability Support Workers for a child requiring support within the home involving In Home Care.

Shifts available: Mondays - Fridays 6am - 9.30am and 3.30pm - 9pm, Saturdays 9am - 7pm, Sundays 9am - 7pm

Positions may be available in surrounding suburbs.

Pay rate Minimum starting rate is $46.81 per hour, plus allowances for evenings, weekends and public holidays (based on qualifications and experience).

Skills and Experience:

• Must have experience with children with behaviours of concern

Experience and/or qualifications in Individual Support, Disability Support, Aged Care or equivalent (students currently studying in these areas, as well as Nursing, Physio Therapy, OT and Paramedicine also encouraged to apply)

• Enthusiastic, positive approach to supporting people of all ages and backgrounds living with a disability.
• Reliable, kind, and caring nature, with good work ethics
• Well-presented and a professional approach
• Active with average physical fitness level
• Flexible and adaptable to the needs of people’s individual support needs

Requirements:

• Current resume and 2 professional referees
• NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain prior to commencement of employment.
• Working with Children Check (WWCC) (Employer)
• Current driver license and own reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
• Current First Aid (HLTAID011/HLTAID003) & CPR (HLTAID009/HLTAID001)
