Job Title: Disbursement Officer (Rider)

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

Salary: 200,000 – 220,000

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Disbursement Officer to coordinate vehicle readiness and handover, support accurate disbursement processing, maintain complete records and ensure all activities follow approved procedures.

Key Responsibilities

· Vehicle checks and readiness: Confirm vehicles have passed the required pre-delivery inspection; check engine and chassis numbers against documents; and verify that tracking devices are installed and working before release.

· Documentation and compliance: Check that approvals and supporting documents are complete. Coordinate required registration and insurance, prepare customer handover documents, and follow internal controls, KYC/AML requirements and applicable regulations.

· Disbursement processing and records: Verify approved instructions, amounts, beneficiary details and supporting documents before processing. Enter accurate information into the Loan Origination System (LOS) and other approved systems, and maintain records that support audit and reconciliation.

· Logistics and handover: Coordinate vehicle movement between assembly, storage, dealers and delivery locations. Conduct professional customer handovers, explain vehicle documents, key features, basic maintenance responsibilities and after-sales support.

· Reconciliation, risk and reporting: Match completed transactions to approvals, investigate discrepancies, identify duplicate or suspicious instructions, and place transactions on hold when needed. Escalate risks promptly and submit accurate reports on time.

· Process improvement: Spot delays, recurring errors and control gaps, and recommend practical improvements to make disbursement and handover processes safer and more efficient.

Qualifications and Experience

· A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or a related field is an advantage.

· 2–4 years’ experience in operations, logistics, fleet management or auto-finance; vehicle dealership experience is an added advantage.

Key Skills and Competencies

Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy; good organisation and time management; understanding of disbursement controls; reconciliation and KYC/AML requirements; risk awareness and sound judgement; clear communication and coordination; customer-service skills; and the ability to handle confidential information responsibly.

Performance Expectations

· Complete approved disbursements and vehicle handovers within agreed timelines and with minimal errors.

· Match all disbursements to approved instructions and resolve or escalate outstanding variances promptly.

· Follow all approval, documentation and compliance controls, with no unauthorised policy exceptions.

· Escalate all detected suspicious instructions or risk flags before payment or vehicle release.

· Submit complete and accurate operational reports by the agreed deadlines.

Authority and Confidentiality

The officer may process only transactions with the required approvals and complete documentation, and may place a transaction or vehicle release on hold where a discrepancy or warning sign is identified. Missing approvals, mismatched details, suspected fraud, compliance exceptions and material reconciliation differences must be escalated to the appropriate supervisor, Finance or Compliance/Risk Team. The officer must not waive required controls or disclose customer, merchant, banking, credit or vehicle information to unauthorised persons, and must follow applicable data-protection laws and company policies.
