Acton Academy Mississauga is hiring for a Discovery Studio Guide!

Position: Discovery Studio Guide (Part Time to start, eventual Full Time)

Start Date: ASAP

Acton Academy Mississauga (AAM) is a private school looking for a dynamic and thoughtful person to join its staff as a Sparks Studio Guide, predominantly working with learners ages 4-6 years.

Other helpful background about the Discovery Studio Guide role:

●Experience working with mixed ages of young children

● Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Waldorf or other similar training

● Deep curiosity and is ready to work hard in a small, tight knit and entrepreneurial

environment

● Passion for disrupting traditional education

● Involved with planning out the Sparks Studio space, learning arcs for the year and

day-to-day learning plans and implementing the plan on a daily basis

● Commit to a Guide and Studio contract, once finalized

● Facilitate Socratic discussions during launches

● Lead outdoor times and plan local field trips

● Help with school administration, as needed, for a growing school

● Current First Aid and Vulnerable Sector check required

● Experience working in small teams or for a start-up or entrepreneurial venture

Acton Academy Mississauga (AAM) is a learner-driven, 21st century private school, newly launched in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
