Dishwasher

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As part of the Culinary team, your essential functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwashing machines or by hand.
• Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
• Operate and clean dishwashing machines and related equipment.
• Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in designated storage areas.
• Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.
• Sweep, scrub, and wash floors, work tables, walls, refrigerators, and kitchen surfaces.
• Stock supplies such as food items, utensils, and service materials in appropriate storage locations.
• Prepare and package individual place settings as directed.
• Clean and prepare basic food items in support of kitchen operations.
• Receive, store, and rotate food and supply deliveries as assigned.
• Clean garbage cans and waste areas using water or steam.
• Load and unload trucks delivering food or supplies when required.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Assist cooks with opening and closing duties using established checklists and standards.
• Adhere to all Dormie Network policies, food safety standards, and sanitation procedures.
• Work collaboratively with all employees to support an efficient and positive team environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of three months of related experience and/or training preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Ability to bend, stretch, twist, and turn in kitchen and service areas.
• Ability to visually inspect kitchen areas, ingredients, and finished products for cleanliness and quality.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment and basic computer or point-of-sale systems as required.
