Sablé is a luxury French boulangerie dedicated to exceptional pastry, hospitality, and maintaining a clean, professional kitchen. We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher / Kitchen Steward to help keep our kitchen running efficiently.

Position Summary

The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen throughout the day. This is an essential position within our production team. The right person takes pride in keeping the kitchen spotless, works quickly and efficiently, and understands that cleanliness is fundamental to a professional pastry kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, cookware, utensils, trays, and kitchen equipment.
• Keep the dishwashing area clean and organized throughout the shift.
• Assist pastry cooks with maintaining clean work areas during production.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, floors, sinks, and other areas as needed.
• Empty trash and recycling and maintain appropriate waste areas.
• Assist with general kitchen cleaning and closing duties.
• Keep equipment and tools organized and returned to their proper locations.
• Help maintain a clean and safe working environment for the entire team.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Communicate with the kitchen team when supplies, cleaning products, or other necessities are running low.
• Take initiative and assist wherever needed to keep the kitchen operating efficiently.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, bakery, or kitchen experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
• Must have a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Must be comfortable working on your feet for extended periods.
• Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Must maintain a clean and professional appearance.
• Must be organized and attentive to detail.
• Must be willing to perform repetitive physical tasks and maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Schedule

• Wednesday through Sunday
• Full-time position
• Exact hours will be discussed during the interview.

Compensation & Benefits

• $18.00 per hour
• Plus tips
• Up to 30 days of paid vacation per year
