Duties

• Thoroughly wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment using proper cleaning techniques and sanitizing procedures
• Maintain cleanliness of all work areas, including dishwashing stations and storage spaces
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as prepping ingredients and organizing supplies when needed
• Support bussing duties by clearing tables, removing trash, and ensuring dining areas are tidy and welcoming
• Follow food safety management protocols to ensure sanitation standards are consistently met
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including dishwashers and manual handling tools
• Uphold kitchen health and safety standards by adhering to sanitation guidelines and handling heavy lifting with proper technique

Skills

• Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and sanitation best practices
• Experience in food handling, food service, or restaurant environments is highly desirable
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and moving supplies or equipment
• Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as commercial dishwashers and prep tools
• Strong attention to detail in cleaning routines and maintaining hygiene standards
• Excellent teamwork skills to support chefs, servers, and other kitchen staff
• Basic knife skills and understanding of kitchen health and safety standards are a plus
