Position Details

Job Title: Dishwasher
Location: Coralville, IA
Reports To: Manager
Average Weekly Hours: 20–40 hours per week
Schedule: Combination of weekdays and weekends
Available Hours: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Position Overview

Our Dishwashers are an important part of keeping The Eat Shop running smoothly. This position is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the dishes, utensils, equipment, and bakery wares used throughout our daily baking and café operations.

We are looking for someone who works efficiently, stays organized, takes pride in keeping things clean, and understands that the entire team is counting on them to show up and do their part.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize bakery wares, dishes, utensils, and equipment
• Load and operate the commercial dishwasher efficiently
• Ensure all items are completely clean and sanitized before being returned to use
• Properly store clean equipment, dishes, and utensils in assigned areas
• Keep the dishwashing and surrounding work areas clean, safe, and organized
• Maintain clean and dry floors throughout the shift
• Follow all company and Department of Health standards for sanitation and food safety
• Work efficiently to keep up with the needs of a fast-paced bakery
• Support bakery and café teammates as needed
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and wipe frequently
• Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 15 pounds at a time
• Frequent immersion of hands in water
• Ability to work in a warm, damp, and fast-paced environment

Language Skills

Must be able to speak, read, and write English and communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers and customers.
