Duties

• Thoroughly wash dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using
• Support bussing duties by clearing tables and ensuring dining areas remain tidy and inviting
• Operate kitchen equipment safely, such as dishwashers, sinks, and cleaning tools in accordance with safety standards
• Follow all food safety management protocols to maintain sanitation standards throughout the kitchen
• Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of large pots or crates of supplies with proper technique to prevent injury
• Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure compliance with kitchen health and safety standards

Requirements

• Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; eagerness to learn is essential
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures within a commercial kitchen environment
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking
• Basic knife skills and familiarity with operating kitchen equipment are advantageous
• Strong attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards
• Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues in a fast-paced setting
• Commitment to adhering to all food safety regulations and health & safety policies
