Responsibilities

• Efficiently clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures.
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks and support kitchen staff with bussing tables and clearing plates.
• Operate dishwashing machines and other kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
• Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of pots, pans, and boxes of supplies while maintaining proper ergonomic techniques.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dish area, kitchen floors, work surfaces, and storage areas to meet sanitation standards.
• Support food handling and sanitation protocols to ensure compliance with food safety management systems.
• Collaborate with team members to uphold kitchen health and safety standards during busy service hours.

Qualifications

• Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential.
• Knowledge of food safety procedures, sanitation practices, and kitchen health standards.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely.
• Basic knife skills and familiarity with operating kitchen equipment are advantageous.
• Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in catering or banquet settings is a plus but not mandatory.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 28.0 – 40.0 per week
