Job Summary

The Hitching Post Restaurant & Saloon is hiring a dependable and hardworking Dishwasher to join our team. No previous restaurant experience is required—we are willing to train the right person who has a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to help wherever needed.

This position plays an important role in keeping our kitchen and dining room clean, organized, and running efficiently. The ideal candidate understands that every team member contributes to the guest experience and the overall success of the restaurant.

Schedule

We are seeking applicants with flexible availability for:

• Day shifts
• Evening and closing shifts
• Weekends
• Additional shifts as business needs require

Primary Responsibilities

• Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils
• Keep the dishwashing area clean, organized, and safe
• Carefully handle restaurant dishes and equipment to prevent damage or loss
• Clear, clean, sanitize, and reset tables
• Keep floors, walkways, service areas, and workstations clean and free of hazards
• Empty trash and replace liners as needed
• Assist with basic cleaning and closing duties
• Restock dishes, silverware, and other service supplies
• Communicate with kitchen and front-of-house employees throughout the shift
• Complete additional cleaning or support duties assigned by management
• Help coworkers when needed and contribute to a team-oriented workplace

Uniform and Safety Requirements

Employees must arrive in clean, presentable clothing and wear the provided white kitchen apron. Closed-toe, slip-resistant shoes are required. Employees are expected to maintain proper personal hygiene and follow all restaurant safety, sanitation, and employee policies.

Pay: $8.00 - $12.00 per hour
