Job Summary

Kiku Asian Bistro is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented Dishwasher to support daily kitchen and restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will keep dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment clean and sanitized while helping maintain an organized, safe, and efficient kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash, rinse, sanitize, and properly store dishes, plates, glasses, utensils, and cookware
• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and properly
• Keep dishwashing stations clean, organized, and stocked
• Assist kitchen staff with cleaning and sanitation duties
• Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, sinks, floors, and work areas as assigned
• Remove garbage and recycling from designated areas
• Restock clean dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen supplies
• Assist with unloading and organizing kitchen deliveries when needed
• Maintain proper separation and handling of clean and dirty items
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
• Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment according to safety instructions
• Help maintain a clean and organized back-of-house environment
• Support cooks and other kitchen team members during busy service periods
• Assist with opening, closing, and daily kitchen cleaning duties
• Report equipment problems, supply shortages, or safety concerns to management
• Perform other kitchen duties assigned by restaurant management

Requirements

• Previous dishwasher, kitchen, restaurant, or food service experience preferred but not required
• Reliable, hardworking, and responsible attitude
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Strong attention to cleanliness and sanitation
• Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform physical kitchen duties for extended periods
• Ability to lift and move moderate loads when required
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Skills

• Previous restaurant or commercial kitchen experience
• Familiarity with commercial dishwashing equipment
• Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
