Job Summary

Baja Beach Tacos is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and energetic Dishwasher to join our crew!

We’re a fast-paced, family-style restaurant where everyone works together to keep things running smoothly. Our Dishwasher plays an important role in keeping our kitchen clean, organized, and ready for service. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, moves with a sense of urgency, and isn’t afraid to jump in and help the team when needed.

Responsibilities

Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, trays, and kitchen equipment.

Keep the dishwashing area clean, organized, and running efficiently throughout the shift.

Maintain clean floors, sinks, workstations, and kitchen surfaces.

Empty trash and properly dispose of waste as needed.

Help clear and organize used dishes from the dining area.

Assist the kitchen crew with basic food prep and other tasks when needed.

Safely lift and move pots, trays, boxes, and restaurant supplies.

Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department standards.

Properly use and care for restaurant equipment.

Work with a sense of urgency, especially during busy lunch and dinner rushes.

Communicate with the kitchen and front-of-house team to keep service moving.

Be willing to jump in wherever the crew needs help.

What We’re Looking For

Restaurant or food-service experience is a plus, but not required.

Dependable and punctual.

Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Able to work quickly without sacrificing cleanliness or attention to detail.

Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced kitchen.

Able to safely lift and handle restaurant equipment and supplies.

Team player with a positive attitude.

Takes initiative instead of waiting to be told what needs to be done.

Understands that a clean kitchen is everyone's responsibility.
