Dishwasher

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our hospitality team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchenware are properly sanitized and available for food service operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for supporting a smooth dining experience. Experience in food service, restaurant, catering, or hotel environments is preferred but not required. This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable culinary and hospitality experience while contributing to a dynamic team.

Responsibilities

• Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment efficiently
• Assist with bussing tables and clearing dining areas as needed
• Support food preparation tasks such as basic chopping or assembling ingredients under supervision
• Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and kitchen areas in accordance with health and safety standards
• Support catering and banquet events by ensuring all serving ware is clean and ready for use
• Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met
• Assist with general cleaning duties in the kitchen and dining areas to uphold a sanitary environment
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely availability of clean dishes for service

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant, catering, or hotel environments is a plus but not mandatory
• Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong teamwork skills and willingness to assist others in the kitchen setting
• Basic understanding of kitchen operations including bussing, food preparation, and cleaning procedures
• Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings or weekends if needed
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads such as trays or boxes of supplies
