Reports To: Kitchen Manager / Executive Chef

Position Summary

Slate is seeking a dependable, hardworking Dishwasher to help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen. This role is essential to our daily operations by ensuring all dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen areas are cleaned and sanitized while supporting the back-of-house team during service.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area.
• Empty trash and recycling throughout each shift.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors as needed and at the end of each shift.
• Assist with receiving and putting away deliveries when requested.
• Restock clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen supplies.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
• Support kitchen staff with cleaning tasks and other duties as assigned.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Qualifications

• Previous dishwashing or restaurant experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and a team player.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
