Duties

• The purpose of this position is to implement the established procedures for sanitizing eating utensils in a cost-effective, efficient manner to safely meet residents’ needs in compliance with federal, state and local requirements.

Responsibilities for the Dishwasher position:

• Follow work schedule and assignments, including cleaning schedules.
• Assist in meal service, tray set up, food portioning, loading and delivery of food trucks to residents’ areas.
• Works in dish room and/or pot wash area performing manual or machine washing of wares and equipment.
• Reports needed supplies, faulty equipment, accident, and problems, etc.
• Attends in-service training programs for dietary and the facility.
• Put away and proper storage of foods, leftovers and supplies. Rotating stock, labeling and dating all stock.
• Cleaning and maintenance of storage and janitorial areas.
• Performs other duties related to food service as assigned by supervisor.
• Follow facility safety procedures.
• Follow infection control procedures.
• Follows appropriate dress code, conduct yourself in a courteous, respectful manner.

Requirements

• Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality settings is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting or bending comfortably
• Strong attention to detail in cleaning and sanitation routines
• Knowledge of basic kitchen operations including dishwashing, bussing, or food handling is a plus
• Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues
• Familiarity with food safety standards and proper hygiene practices is advantageous
• Reliable availability on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1pm to 7pm

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
