Job Summary

Tikis Grill & Bar is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented Dishwasher to support daily kitchen and restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will maintain clean and sanitized dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment while helping keep the kitchen organized and ready for efficient service.

This position is ideal for someone who works well in a fast-paced restaurant environment, pays attention to cleanliness, and is willing to support the kitchen team as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash, rinse, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and according to established procedures.
• Keep the dishwashing area clean, organized, and stocked throughout each shift.
• Assist kitchen staff with maintaining clean and sanitized workstations.
• Remove trash and recycling from designated kitchen and service areas.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors and clean other assigned areas as needed.
• Restock clean dishes, utensils, cookware, and other items for kitchen and service staff.
• Assist with basic kitchen cleaning and sanitation duties.
• Help unload and organize deliveries when required.
• Maintain proper storage and organization of cleaning supplies.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
• Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.
• Support cooks, servers, bartenders, and other team members during busy service periods.
• Report equipment problems, supply shortages, or safety concerns to management.
• Assist with opening, closing, and deep-cleaning duties as assigned.
• Perform other kitchen and restaurant duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Previous dishwasher, kitchen, restaurant, or food-service experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and organization.
• Ability to follow instructions and sanitation procedures.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work cooperatively with kitchen and restaurant team members.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move moderate loads when required.

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36.0 per week
