Dishwasher

Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, cookware, and equipment. The Dishwasher also assists the kitchen team with basic cleaning, sanitation, trash removal, and other tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

Wash, rinse, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glasses, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment. Maintain a clean and organized dish area throughout the shift. Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures. Keep floors, walls, sinks, drains, and other kitchen areas clean. Remove trash and recycling and replace liners as needed. Assist kitchen staff with cleaning and maintaining equipment. Stock clean dishes and supplies in their proper locations. Help with opening and closing cleaning duties. Monitor dishwashing supplies and notify management when supplies are running low. Follow proper chemical handling and safety procedures. Assist cooks and other kitchen employees when needed. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working as part of a team. Complete all assigned cleaning and sanitation tasks before leaving the shift.

Qualifications

Previous restaurant orkitchen experience is preferred but not required. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical work. Ability to lift and carry kitchen items and trash when necessary. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to follow instructions and work independently. Willingness to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation. Physical Requirements Standing and walking for most of the shift. Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying. Ability to work around water, cleaning chemicals, heat, and kitchen equipment. Ability to lift approximately 25–50 lbs. as needed.

Performance Expectations

The Dishwasher is expected to: Keep dishes continuously available for the kitchen and service team. Maintain a clean and sanitary work area. Complete assigned cleaning duties thoroughly and on time. Communicate effectively with the Kitchen Manager and kitchen team. Follow restaurant safety, sanitation, and operational standards. Arrive on time, prepared to work, and maintain reliable attendance.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.50 - $17.00 per hour
