Dishwasher

Pinewood Coffee Co is seeking a dependable and hardworking Dishwasher to support daily café operations and maintain clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and service areas. This role involves washing and sanitizing dishes, cups, glassware, utensils, cookware, and food-service equipment while assisting the café team with routine cleaning and support duties. The ideal candidate is reliable, attentive to cleanliness, and comfortable working in a busy coffee shop environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, cups, glasses, utensils, cookware, and food-service equipment.
• Operate the commercial dishwasher and follow established cleaning procedures.
• Sort and organize clean dishes, cups, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Keep the dishwashing station clean, organized, and properly supplied.
• Handle cups and glassware carefully and store clean items in designated areas.
• Clean sinks, counters, floors, and other assigned kitchen and café areas.
• Remove trash and help maintain proper sanitation throughout the shift.
• Restock clean dishes, cups, utensils, containers, and other café supplies.
• Assist baristas and café team members with routine cleaning and support tasks.
• Help maintain a steady supply of clean equipment during busy service periods.
• Monitor dishwashing and cleaning supplies and communicate restocking needs.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, cleanliness, and workplace procedures.
• Assist with opening, closing, and routine café cleaning duties.
• Work cooperatively with café and kitchen team members.

Qualifications

• Previous dishwasher, café, coffee shop, restaurant, or food-service experience is helpful.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, sanitation, and organization.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced café environment.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Willingness to learn food-safety and sanitation procedures.
• Able to perform routine dishwashing and cleaning duties throughout a shift.
• Careful when handling cups, glassware, and kitchen equipment.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
