Dishwasher

Omaha Tap House - Pepperwood is seeking a dependable and hardworking Dishwasher to support daily kitchen and restaurant operations. This role involves washing and sanitizing dishes, glassware, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment while maintaining a clean and organized dish area. The ideal candidate is reliable, attentive to cleanliness, and comfortable working in a busy restaurant and bar environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment
• Load and unload the dishwasher safely and efficiently
• Keep the dishwashing area clean, organized, and properly supplied
• Store clean dishes, glassware, utensils, and cookware in designated areas
• Clean sinks, counters, floors, and other assigned kitchen work areas
• Assist kitchen staff with basic cleaning and support tasks as needed
• Remove trash and help maintain proper sanitation throughout the shift
• Monitor dishwashing and cleaning supplies and communicate restocking needs
• Help maintain a steady supply of clean service items during busy periods
• Assist with routine kitchen cleaning and organization
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, cleanliness, and workplace safety procedures
• Support opening, closing, and routine restaurant cleaning duties
• Work cooperatively with kitchen and restaurant team members

Qualifications

• Previous dishwasher, kitchen, restaurant, café, or food-service experience is helpful
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible
• Strong attention to cleanliness and organization
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Able to stand for extended periods and perform routine cleaning duties
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions
• Willingness to learn food-safety and sanitation procedures
• Careful when handling dishes, glassware, cookware, and kitchen equipment
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
