Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment. Your efforts will ensure that our culinary operations run smoothly while adhering to food safety standards. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to gain valuable restaurant and hospitality experience.

Duties

• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to thoroughly clean dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen tools
• Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure all items are hygienic and ready for use
• Assist with food handling and basic food preparation tasks as needed
• Support kitchen staff by bussing tables and clearing plates during busy service times
• Maintain cleanliness of the dish area, including sinks, counters, and floors through regular cleaning and sanitizing
• Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of dish racks and supplies safely and efficiently
• Contribute to overall kitchen cleanliness by adhering to sanitation standards for food safety management

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred but not required; eagerness to learn is essential
• Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitizing procedures
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and standing for extended periods
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail in a fast-paced environment
• Basic knife skills or familiarity with food handling is a plus
• Experience with dishwashing or kitchen cleaning duties in a restaurant or hotel setting is advantageous
• Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to support multiple areas of the kitchen during service
