Dishwasher

Job Summary

Original Pancake House is seeking a dependable and hardworking Dishwasher to join our restaurant team. This position will help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen by washing dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment while supporting the kitchen team during busy breakfast and lunch service.

Responsibilities

Wash and sanitize dishes, glasses, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
Keep the dishwashing area clean, organized, and properly stocked.
Remove trash and maintain proper sanitation throughout the kitchen.
Assist kitchen team members with basic cleaning and support duties as needed.
Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, floors, sinks, and other work areas.
Follow food-safety and sanitation procedures at all times.
Maintain an adequate supply of clean dishes and utensils during service.
Handle cleaning supplies and equipment according to restaurant procedures.
Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties.
Work efficiently during busy breakfast and lunch periods.
Communicate with cooks, servers, and other team members to support smooth restaurant operations.

Qualifications

Previous dishwasher, kitchen, restaurant, or food-service experience is preferred but not required.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Strong attention to cleanliness and detail.
Reliable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team.
Ability to follow food-safety and sanitation procedures.
Positive and professional attitude.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen duties.
Availability for mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 per week
