Dishwasher

Diner Bar is seeking a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher to help maintain clean and sanitary kitchen operations. This role involves washing dishes and kitchen equipment, organizing clean items, maintaining the dishwashing station, and assisting kitchen staff with routine cleaning tasks. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently as part of a restaurant team.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, plates, glasses, utensils, and cookware.
• Operate the commercial dishwasher following established procedures.
• Load and unload dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Sort and store clean dishes and kitchen items in designated areas.
• Keep the dishwashing station clean, organized, and stocked with supplies.
• Clean sinks, counters, floors, and other assigned kitchen areas.
• Remove trash and maintain cleanliness throughout the shift.
• Restock clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen supplies as needed.
• Assist kitchen staff with routine cleaning and support duties.
• Monitor cleaning supplies and report restocking needs.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
• Assist with opening, closing, and daily kitchen cleaning tasks.
• Work cooperatively with kitchen and restaurant team members.

Qualifications

• Previous dishwasher or restaurant experience is helpful but not required.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and organization.
• Able to follow instructions and established procedures.
• Comfortable working in a busy kitchen environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn sanitation and food-safety practices.
• Able to perform routine cleaning duties throughout a shift.

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
