Job Summary

The Butcher, The Baker, The Cappuccino Maker is seeking a dependable and hardworking Dishwasher to support its kitchen team during breakfast, brunch, and lunch service. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in cleanliness, works efficiently under pressure, and understands the importance of maintaining a sanitary kitchen. The successful candidate will help keep dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen work areas clean and ready for continuous restaurant service.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, plates, glasses, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils.
• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Sort and organize clean dishes for easy access by kitchen and service staff.
• Maintain clean and sanitary dishwashing and kitchen areas throughout each shift.
• Remove food waste and dispose of trash according to restaurant procedures.
• Clean floors, sinks, and designated work surfaces to maintain a safe environment.
• Assist kitchen staff with basic cleaning and restocking duties when needed.
• Store cleaning products properly and follow chemical-handling instructions.
• Report equipment issues, supply shortages, or sanitation concerns to the supervisor.
• Follow food-safety, hygiene, and workplace safety requirements.
• Assist with opening, closing, and other back-of-house duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Dependable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain consistent cleaning standards.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant kitchen.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and safety.
• Previous dishwasher, kitchen helper, or restaurant experience is preferred but not required.
• Willingness to learn sanitation procedures and commercial dishwashing equipment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or carry routine kitchen items.
• Availability for morning, weekend, and holiday shifts as scheduled.

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36.0 per week
