Duties

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools promptly and efficiently
• Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and ensure proper storage of cleaned items
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, or organizing ingredients when needed
• Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure safety standards are met
• Keep the kitchen area tidy by disposing of waste properly and cleaning work surfaces regularly
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow during busy service periods

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant, hotel, or culinary environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail
• Knowledge of basic cleaning procedures and food safety standards
• Familiarity with food handling practices and sanitation regulations
• Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with bussing tables or supporting catering events is a plus but not mandatory
• Willingness to assist with light food preparation or other kitchen duties as needed
