Duties

• Operate commercial dishwashing machines to clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools efficiently and safely.
• Manually wash items that cannot go through the machine, ensuring thorough cleaning and sanitizing.
• Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and setup.
• Support bussing duties by clearing tables, removing used dishware, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas.
• Follow strict food safety sanitizing procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Handle heavy lifting of supplies, dishes, and equipment safely according to kitchen health and safety standards.
• Maintain sanitation standards by regularly cleaning workstations, floors, sinks, and dishwashing areas.

Requirements

• Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; a willingness to learn is essential.
• Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation procedures is highly desirable.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers and basic food prep tools confidently.
• Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy loads safely.
• Familiarity with kitchen health and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment.
• Excellent attention to detail when cleaning and sanitizing to meet strict hygiene requirements.
• Previous banquet or culinary experience is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced culinary setting is important.
