Dishwasher

Gamsa Sushi, a Japanese sushi and omakase restaurant in Oakland's Rockridge neighborhood, is looking for a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher / Kitchen Support team member.

This position primarily involves manually washing dishes, utensils, glassware, and kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Handwash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, utensils, glassware, and kitchen equipment.
• Carefully handle delicate plates and serviceware.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary dishwashing station.
• Keep clean dishes and kitchen supplies properly organized.
• Assist with general kitchen cleaning, including floors, surfaces, and trash disposal.
• Support the kitchen team with additional cleaning duties as needed.
• Follow restaurant sanitation and food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or kitchen experience preferred but not required.
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
• Ability to work efficiently during busy service hours.
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks.
• Good attention to cleanliness and organization.
• Availability for evening and weekend shifts.

Compensation

• $20.00 per hour.
