Responsibilities

• Thoroughly wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures.
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen operations.
• Operate dishwashing machinery and manual handling of heavy items safely and efficiently.
• Follow all sanitation standards, health regulations, and kitchen safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Maintain cleanliness in dishwashing stations and storage areas, ensuring compliance with kitchen health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Prior food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
• Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation procedures.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely.
• Basic understanding of operating kitchen equipment such as dishwashers and cleaning tools.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude in high-pressure environments.
• Experience with food preparation, knife skills, or catering is a plus but not mandatory.
