Duties

• Thoroughly wash dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using proper cleaning techniques.
• Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure all items meet health standards.
• Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and setup.
• Support bussing duties by clearing tables and ensuring dining areas stay clean and inviting.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including dishwashers and manual cleaning tools.
• Adhere to kitchen health and safety standards to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment.
• Assist with manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies or equipment, following proper ergonomic practices.

Skills

• Knowledge of food safety management principles and sanitation procedures.
• Experience in food handling, food service, or restaurant environments is highly desirable.
• Strong cleaning skills with attention to detail in maintaining hygiene standards.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Basic knife skills for assisting with food prep when required.
• Physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.
