Responsibilities

• Efficiently wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures.
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks and support the kitchen team in maintaining cleanliness throughout the workspace.
• Clear and buss tables promptly to ensure a clean dining area and facilitate smooth service flow.
• Handle manual lifting of heavy pots, trays, and supplies safely, adhering to proper lifting techniques.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers and other small appliances responsibly and according to safety standards.
• Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in compliance with food safety management protocols.
• Support overall kitchen health and safety standards by ensuring proper storage of supplies and disposal of waste.

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, with knowledge of sanitation practices.
• Strong understanding of food handling procedures and food safety regulations.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during busy service hours.
• Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment including commercial dishwashers and basic utensils.
• Excellent manual handling skills combined with attention to detail in cleaning and sanitation tasks.
• Experience with food preparation, knife skills, and general kitchen experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of banquet or catering experience enhances your ability to support diverse service needs within the hospitality industry.
