Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our kitchen staff in delivering exceptional food service in a fast-paced environment, whether in a restaurant, hotel, or catering setting.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping and mopping floors regularly.
• Assist in organizing and storing clean dishes and kitchen equipment in designated areas.
• Help prepare ingredients as needed for cooks and chefs during busy service times.
• Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and sanitation standards are met.
• Support the culinary team during peak hours by assisting with various kitchen tasks as required.
• Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the kitchen supervisor promptly.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Familiarity with food handling practices and sanitation standards is a plus.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic with a willingness to help others in the kitchen team.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
