Dishwasher

Wash and clean dishes, tableware, pots, pans and cooking equipment.

Keep the dish washing station, restaurant, bathrooms, kitchen and equipment clean and organized.

Duties & Responsibilities

· Load, run and unload dish machine.

· Keep the dish machine & sinks clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately.

· Monitor dish machine & sink water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle.

· Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware.

· Properly label, replenish and store chemicals.

· Use the proper chemicals for each job while maintain safety for yourself and those around you.

· Keep dish pit & storage clean and organized.

· Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen.

· Bag and haul dish pit and buss cart trash to dumpster as needed through shift.

· Break down all cardboard and take to dumpster throughout the day. Keep the back door clear.

· Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.

· Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.

· Clean food preparation and production areas as required.

· Wipe down buss carts throughout day as needed.

· Assist with basic food preparation according to the checklist and prep sheets.

· Be available to assist Baker with bread wrapping, potato peeling, etc. as time and level of business allow.

· Unload Potatoes out of the oven and into the fridge

· Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.

· Complete any other tasks or directives issued by your Manager or Supervisor in a polite, timely and accurate manner.

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements

· No previous restaurant experience required.

· Be able to work in hot, wet, humid and loud environment for long periods of time.

· Be physically able to lift, reach, bend and stoop.

· Be able to working in a standing position for long periods of time.

· Be able to safely lift bags, cases and stacks weighing up to 50 pounds.

· Obtain an Oregon Food Handler’s card within 14 days of start date.

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 34.0 per week
