Dishwasher

Job Overview

As a Dishwasher, you’ll keep the kitchen moving by cleaning dishes, cookware, and equipment and supporting food preparation and service. You’ll help maintain an organized workspace, follow food safety and sanitation procedures, and work closely with kitchen and service teams. This active role involves standing, manual handling, and lifting kitchen items.

Responsibilities

• Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment according to food safety sanitizing procedures.
• Keep dishwashing and kitchen areas clean, organized, and compliant with kitchen health and safety standards.
• Assist with basic food preparation and food handling, using knife skills when assigned and following food safety practices.
• Support bussing and service needs by clearing and sorting dishes and helping the team prepare for busy periods or events.
• Your impact: Consistent cleaning and sanitation help protect guests and give kitchen staff clean tools to prepare and serve food safely.

Experience

• Food service, restaurant, kitchen, hospitality, banquet, or catering experience is helpful but not required.
• Familiarity with dishwashing, sanitation, food safety management, and safe food handling is an asset.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment and follow instructions for its safe use.
• Able to perform manual handling and heavy lifting as needed, while following safe work practices.
• Willingness to learn and consistently follow food safety and kitchen health and safety standards.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 30.0 per week
