Dishwasher/ Kitchen utility

Job Summary

Dear Guest Bakery and Cafe is looking for a dependable, thorough team member to keep our kitchen, equipment, and restrooms clean, sanitary, and organized.

Responsibilities:

• Wash, rinse, sanitize, and properly store dishes, utensils, baking trays, mixing bowls, pots, and pans.
• Operate and clean the commercial dishwasher, keeping the dishwashing area clean and organized.
• Clean kitchen equipment, including mixers, refrigerators, stovetops, and ovens, following equipment-specific cleaning and safety instructions.
• Wipe down and clean equipment surfaces, worktables, sinks, counters, and storage areas daily. Complete deeper cleaning as scheduled.
• Sweep and mop floors, including corners and areas underneath equipment.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms and restock soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
• Remove trash and recycling throughout the shift, replace liners, and clean trash bins.
• Occasionally help carry and move heavy kitchen supplies, pots, pans, and other items using safe lifting practices.
• Follow sanitation standards, cleaning checklists, and instructions for safely using and storing cleaning chemicals.
• Leave the kitchen clean and organized for the next shift.

Qualifications:

• Reliable, punctual, and attentive to detail.
• Knowledge of basic sanitation practices and how to operate a commercial dishwasher.
• Able to follow instructions and complete routine cleaning tasks independently.
• Able to stand, bend, lift, and carry items as needed, with reasonable accommodation.
• Previous dishwashing or commercial cleaning experience is preferred.

This position is dedicated to dishwashing and cleaning. No food preparation or knife skills are required.

Pay: $19.00 per hour
