Summary

At Stefano’s, our Dishwashers are essential to keeping the kitchen running smoothly. They are responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment by washing dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment while supporting the entire Back of House team.

We are looking for a dependable, hardworking individual who takes pride in cleanliness, works efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and understands that a clean kitchen is the foundation of exceptional food and service. Every member of our team contributes to the guest experience, and our Dishwashers play a vital role in helping us deliver excellence every day.

Core Responsibilities

• Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area throughout each shift.
• Empty trash and recycling containers and dispose of waste properly.
• Restock clean dishes, cookware, and kitchen supplies for cooks and service staff.
• Keep sinks, drains, dish machines, and cleaning equipment clean and functioning properly.
• Follow all health department regulations and company sanitation standards.
• Complete opening, closing, and side work responsibilities as assigned.
• Safely use cleaning chemicals and follow all safety procedures.
• Communicate equipment issues or maintenance concerns to management promptly.
• Support the kitchen team wherever needed during busy periods.
• Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a respectful, team-oriented work environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not required.
• Food Handler Card required (or ability to obtain upon hire).
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and maintain a strong work ethic.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 30 pounds throughout an entire shift.
