Dishwasher Part Time

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to thoroughly clean cookware, utensils, dishes, and kitchen tools in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedures.
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks and support the culinary team as needed to ensure smooth service flow.
• Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas through regular cleaning and sanitation practices.
• Handle manual lifting of heavy items such as large pots, crates of supplies, or bulk dishware safely following proper lifting techniques.
• Follow all food handling guidelines and sanitation protocols to uphold food safety management standards.
• Operate kitchen equipment responsibly while adhering to kitchen health and safety standards to prevent accidents or injuries.

Requirements

• Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
• Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and kitchen health standards is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and stand for extended periods during busy shifts.
• Strong manual handling skills with attention to detail when cleaning and organizing.
• Basic understanding of food handling, dishwashing techniques, and operating commercial kitchen equipment.
• Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting culinary staff during service hours.
• Prior is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn on the job is essential!
