About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Dishwasher to join our kitchen team at EATALIA PTE. LTD. in the Pasir Panjang Central Region. This is a full-time position or can consider Part timer that plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene standards of our kitchen operations. As a Dishwasher, you will be responsible for ensuring that all dishes, utensils, glassware, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitised, allowing our culinary team to focus on preparing exceptional meals for our guests. Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness will directly contribute to the smooth operation of our kitchen and the overall guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Operating commercial dishwashing machines and ensuring all dishes, plates, glasses, and cutlery are cleaned to the highest hygiene standards
• Hand-washing delicate or specialised items that cannot be machine washed, using appropriate cleaning techniques and products
• Maintaining organised storage systems for clean dishes and utensils, ensuring easy access for kitchen staff
• Monitoring water temperature and chemical levels in dishwashing equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
• Removing food debris and scraps from dishes before washing to improve efficiency and protect equipment
• Keeping the dishwashing area clean and organised, including regular sweeping, mopping, and sanitising work surfaces
• Assisting with other kitchen duties as required, such as general food preparation support or kitchen maintenance
• Following all health and safety regulations and maintaining strict adherence to food safety protocols
• Reporting equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to management promptly

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a Dishwasher or in a similar kitchen support role, preferably in a busy hospitality environment
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment and handle high volumes of dishes during peak service times
• Physical fitness and ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items, and work in a hot, wet environment
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• A positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn from more experienced team members
• Basic understanding of health and safety standards in food preparation environments
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and potentially public holidays as required by the business
• Ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff despite language differences (English language skills beneficial but not essential)
