Dishwasher Team Member

Job Summary

Seaside Appliance World is hiring a Dishwasher Team Member to support daily kitchen and food service operations. This role is responsible for washing and sanitizing dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment while helping maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash, rinse, sanitize, and store dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment
• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing station
• Clean and sanitize kitchen counters, sinks, floors, and work areas
• Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation and utility tasks as needed
• Restock dishes, utensils, cleaning products, and kitchen supplies
• Remove trash and maintain clean waste disposal areas
• Assist with organizing and storing kitchen materials and supplies
• Monitor dishwashing and sanitation supplies and report shortages
• Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment according to safety procedures
• Support kitchen staff during busy service periods
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
• Assist with opening, closing, and general kitchen duties

Requirements

• Previous dishwasher, kitchen, restaurant, food service, or hospitality experience is an asset but not required
• Strong attention to cleanliness and organization
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift, carry, and move moderate loads safely
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in a commercial kitchen or restaurant
• Familiarity with commercial dishwashing equipment
• Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Ability to multitask during busy service periods
• Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
