Duties

• Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures and sanitation standards
• Clear tables promptly by bussing dishes, glassware, and silverware to maintain a clean dining environment
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, including ingredient handling and portioning under supervision
• Support the kitchen team by operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including dishwashers and manual handling tools
• Maintain cleanliness in all food service areas by sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces regularly
• Handle heavy lifting of supplies, dishes, and trash to ensure smooth workflow and safety compliance
• Follow all food safety management protocols to uphold high standards of hygiene and food handling

Experience

• Previous food service experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is highly valued
• Familiarity with restaurant operations, including bussing or dishwashing roles, is a plus
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and kitchen health & safety standards is advantageous
• Ability to operate basic kitchen equipment safely and effectively
• Strong manual handling skills with the physical ability to lift heavy items regularly
• Experience in banquet or catering environments can be beneficial but is not mandatory
