Dishwasher/Busser

Job Summary:The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of all dishes, utensils, and kitchen areas. This role plays a key part in supporting kitchen operations by ensuring that clean and sanitized equipment is always available for use.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dishwashing: Operate dishwashing equipment and wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils by hand when necessary
• Sanitation: Ensure all kitchenware is properly cleaned and sanitized in accordance with health and safety standards
• Cleaning: Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas including sinks, countertops, floors, and restrooms
• Organization: Store cleaned dishes and utensils in their designated areas
• Support: Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation and other duties as needed
• Inventory Control: Monitor dishware and utensils, reporting any damage or shortages to management
• Waste Management: Dispose of kitchen waste properly and keep trash areas clean and organized
• Teamwork: Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure efficient service during busy hours

Qualifications:

• Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is a plus, but not required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to cleanliness and detail
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs (23 kg)
• Comfortable working in hot and humid conditions

Work Environment:

• Fast-paced kitchen setting
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals and hot equipment

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
