Dishwasher / Prep Cook — Novo Lantern

About the Role

Novo Lantern is looking for a reliable Dishwasher/Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. You'll help keep our kitchen clean, organized, and running smoothly, and support our cooks with basic food prep. This is a great opportunity for someone dependable who wants to grow their skills in a restaurant kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans efficiently and to health code standards
• Keep the dish station, floors, and kitchen areas clean throughout the shift
• Assist with basic food prep (chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, etc.)
• Help unload and store deliveries
• Take out trash and recycling as needed
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods

Requirements

• Must be able to work evenings/weekends/holidays
• Spanish or Mandarin language skills are a plus
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 30–50 lbs
• Reliable and punctual
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Previous kitchen experience a plus, but not required — we're happy to train
• Food handler's certification a plus (or willingness to obtain one)
