Dishwasher/Food Prep

Summary

Bresnan Bread and Pastry is an artisan bakery specializing in naturally leavened and fermented breads and pastries located in Historic Downtown McKinney.

We are looking for a dependable, hardworking Dishwasher / Food Prep team member to help keep our bakery running smoothly. This position is responsible for washing dishes and equipment, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and assisting with basic food preparation.

Compensation is based on experience.

Must be willing to work early morning shifts.

Must have weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize sheet pans, dishes, utensils, mixing bowls, and kitchen equipment.
• Keep dishwashing areas, sinks, floors, and workstations clean and organized.
• Assist with basic food prep.
• Restock dishes, utensils, and kitchen supplies as needed.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines.
• Remove trash and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Assist bakers and kitchen staff with additional tasks.
• Work efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced bakery environment.

Qualifications

• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
• Able to work on your feet for extended periods.
• Comfortable lifting and carrying supplies and equipment, up to 50 lbs.
• Willing to take direction, learn new tasks, and help wherever needed.
• Previous kitchen, dishwashing, or food prep experience is preferred but not required.
• Positive attitude and attention to cleanliness and detail.
